August 2022 - revival of institute website and SSL renewal with Kyauktada IT corporation.

May 2022 - Collection Manager's (Zaw Dan) firm presence in local media. Press release, "We do not have an ongoing relationship with Russian State Moscow State University Lomonsov for the procurement of geologically important Burmite amber fossils. The Kachin Amber Research Institute does not have a partnership with the kremlin or related international organizations."

March 2022 - Acquisition of more than 50 kilos of rough burmite amber from Tanaing for research purposes. Radiometric zircon dating (Hubei) suggests same Mesozoic age (100myo) as previously disclosed in international research journals.

August 2021 - Research trip/Sabbatical to Turkmenistan laboratory by KARI collections manager/specialist to strengthen molecular identification capabilities for sustainable development.

February 2021 - Widespread protests, work stoppage and civil strife leads to eventual shuttering of KARI office at Sumpra Bum. International relatiions with Hubei stagnate.

August 1, 2020 - Digital contract secured with IT & communication Kyauktada IT corporation for production, maintenance of international web systems administration and hosting to the internet for Kachin Amber Research Institute. March 22, 2020 - (access minutes for meeting, DOWNLOAD) with high council Myitkyina heritage committee for added aid and support for KARI tourism purposes in Manau Park. Celebratory event to be hosted in summer 2020, delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions and infection rate in Kachin State.

March 16, 2020 - In-person collaboration among KARI resarch fellows. Our personnnel in Chinese cities of Wuhan and Chengdu cease due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. Effective study of embroynic mucosal membrane fossils ceased for intederminte time.(Primary research fellows recalled)

May 2020 - Due to ongoing problem and situation arisen from COVID-19, ongoing effort to open institute museum to public must be closed.

June 18, 2019 - KARI logo production and concept pursued with graphic designing team, research grant pursued (Yangon Region, Kyauktada). Dr. Maung Tun of Mandalay Region joins team, promotion of U Zaw Dan to manager of collections.

November 15, 2018 - Specialized procurement on research visit to Lard Phrao Bangkok Region in facilitated and supported by gracious researchers at Chulalongkorn University. Procurement and transit/training on Bruker SKYSCAN technologies. Equipped with 40-130kv power, such 3D-xray micro technologies allow for closer assessment and analysis of Burmite amber with non-destructive testing (NDT).

September 14, 2018 - Scientific research partnership with researchers at Chulalongkorn University. Introduction to 3-dimensional imagining technologies and creation of "recipe-based" templates for scanning various densities of Myanmar amber deposits originating in Kachin, Sagaing States of Myanmar.
